People ask me all the time about the options they might have for cabinetry. Obviously, most of this is driven by budget but I also challenge you to think in other terms. For example, in this photo are custom cabinets that I designed for a client of mine--they give personality and uniqueness to her kitchen and the ability to display artwork that she collects. Custom cabinets also allow you to use all the space more efficiently--they give you a myriad of options regarding wood species, and they provide a much more durable cabinet box that will outlast IKEA or other similar cabinets. From an environmental perspective, this is clearly the best approach because building to last is the best thing you can do for this planet.
